Babis Spilianakis, PhD

Founder and Chief Executive Officer

Charalampos (Babis) Spilianakis’ research centres on how 3D genome organisation and epigenetic regulation shape immune cell function and disease. His group investigates long-range chromosomal interactions and nuclear microenvironments in innate and adaptive immune cells, uncovering how disruption of higher-order chromatin structure leads to immune dysregulation and autoimmunity. By combining mouse genetics, genomics and functional immunology, his work defines mechanistic links between chromatin architecture, gene expression and inflammatory pathology, directly informing Genodis’ strategies for modelling and targeting immune-mediated diseases.

George Garinis, PhD

Chief Scientific Officer

George Garinis’ research focuses on genome instability, DNA repair and their impact on aging, cancer and age-related disease. His group dissects how defects in DNA repair pathways drive tissue-specific degeneration, progeroid syndromes and tumorigenesis, and how cells balance cancer protection against premature aging. Using genetically engineered mouse models, multi-omics and integrative bioinformatics, his work identifies molecular signatures and pathways that connect DNA damage to organismal decline, providing critical insight for Genodis’ platforms in disease modelling, biomarker discovery and the development of novel therapeutic interventions.
